Sharp Focus Hardware Requirements

Server Hardware:

• Intel server-class processor
• 2 GB+ RAM
• Optimal performance with 1GB additional RAM per GB of Sharp Focus data (optional)
• 20 GB minimum free disk space
• SCSI RAID configuration

Server Software:

• Windows 2003 Server or 2000 Server with latest service packs
• SQL Server 2000 (SP3 or 3a) or SQL Server 2005 appropriate license based on nature of use

Backup:

• Backup device with sufficient storage for SQL databases and transaction logs - 10GB minimum

* Please note: Requirements listed below are for the separate Internet module, which is optional.

SF for the Net (Internet Module) Server Software:

• Microsoft IIS with ASP enabled
• Microsoft SMTP service (only if using optional email confirmation feature with class registration)
• Verisign merchant account and client object (only if using optional credit card processing feature with class registration)
• May support other credit card processors with custom programming - ask your sales representative
• SSL Certificate (only if running a secured HTTPS website - recommended if performing online class registration)

SF Net Network Connection:

• Minimum 100 Mbits/sec LAN connection between SQL server and SF Net web server
• Firewall must allow communication between SQL and web server (firewall rule document from Microsoft available)

Workstation Hardware:

• Intel Pentium III CPU or greater
• 256 MB+ RAM
• 2 GB+ hard disk
• Minimum monitor resolution of 800x600 required

Workstation Operating System:

• Microsoft Windows XP Professional or
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
• Latest service packs

Additional Workstation Software:

• Microsoft Office 2000 or XP
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater
• WinFax Pro 10.0 or higher (for optional faxing capabilities)

Network Connection:

• Minimum 100 Mbits/sec LAN connection between workstations and SQL server

* Please note: This information represents a possible system configuration for a network running Sharp Focus for 10 users operating the Sharp Focus application processing approximately 100,000 calls per year.
