Enterprise Document Management Solutions for the Mid-Market
Many organizations face the challenge of managing and accessing business information from disparate sources. For example, an organization might maintain some documents within traditional paper filing systems, while other content is electronically stored but not easily accessible. Oftentimes, employees engage in manual, time consuming searches to locate and retrieve vital documents to complete a business transaction or make a business decision.
Fortis provides tremendous efficiency gains by allowing organizations to capture, store and retrieve paper based and electronic documents into one system. With Fortis, information is readily accessible and centrally located - meaning employees no longer spend time routing documents from desk-to-desk, or trying to locate a misplaced file. Fortis provides instant access to information and promotes an efficient use of resources.

Fortis Options
The Westbrook Technologies’ Consulting Services team designs custom built modifications and software programs for the Fortis product suite in order to meet client-specific needs. Our specialized custom applications take the form of enhancements, e-design, and the following add-on products.
Fortis for ShareScan
Fortis for ShareScan bridges the gap between paper and digital workflows with a simple touch of a button. Now users of a Canon multifunctional device with an imageRUNNER can capture documents with eCopy’s ShareScan and send them to their Fortis database in one fluid process. Fortis for ShareScan leverages the open architecture of Fortis to provide a seamless link between the scanning device and Fortis.
Fortis LDAP
Fortis LDAP Support is Westbrook Technologies’ response to meet the ever-evolving needs of the network administrator. Many enterprises have implemented LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) directories, which are repositories for information about network based entities, such as applications, files, printers and users. LDAP has become of vital importance because it provides a centralized, manageable method of providing a consistent way to name, describe, locate, access, manage, and secure information about these business critical resources.
Fortis Release Script for Ascent Capture
Fortis Release Script for Ascent Capture combines the capturing ability of Kofax Ascent Capture with the comprehensive document management capabilities of Fortis. This integration allows organizations to use Fortis exclusively as the document management system, while handling all capture aspects with Ascent Capture. Indirectly, this integration allows Fortis to leverage all the benefits of Ascent Capture, namely mark-sense recognition, ICR, auto-polling, enhanced bar code recognition, VirtualReScan, TWAIN scanning, network scanning and much more.
Fortis Document Alert!
Document Alert! is an electronic notification system that provides both visual and audio alerts any time a document is scanned, faxed, forwarded, or imported into a user's Fortis In Basket. The feature is neatly displayed as a desktop icon in the Windows tray and provides a shortcut to launch Fortis from the desktop to view documents.
Fortis Data Entry Assistant
Make indexing and updating Fortis documents easier with Data Entry Assistant. Most likely, information is stored in a database that users would like to import into a Fortis database. The thought of retyping all that data is overwhelming! With Data Entry Assistant indexing or updating documents can be done with a few clicks or keystrokes.
Fortis Update Assistant
Many organizations have data stored in an application or database that can easily be exported to an ASCII file. With the Update Assistant option, Fortis can use this ASCII file to reduce time and labor when indexing documents, or when they need to update index data and/or add and replace pages in their existing documents.
Fortis QuickFind
QuickFind is a document retrieval utility that allows launching Fortis from an icon on your desktop to search and find data instantly. Click on an icon, enter the key word, account number, or other customizable field needed to find a pertinent document and within seconds your information is retrieved.
Fortis Auto Logoff
An optional component of Fortis Auto Logoff enables administrators to set a system-wide time-out for inactivity. After a specified number of minutes of activity, the system will release the station license being used. Users will be informed that their session has been timed-out, and they need to log on again to continue working with the system.
